We’re so happy that you’ve chosen to stay in with us and we want to make this your Home away from Home! This guide will help answer some basic questions but always feel free to contact us should you have a question or need anything. Again, WELCOME!
WiFi: BeachAve1, Password: 1513CapeMay
Trash: PLEASE place ALL TRASH in trash bags before throwing the bags in the trash cans located outside, near the front of the building/driveway. Please do not throw loose trash/food directly in the trash cans. Recycling is located in the basement (door is located on your right, as you enter our driveway. Middle of the building.), as soon as you enter. Place recycles, loose (no plastic bags) directly in the cans. Thank you
Coffee Machine: Our Cuisinart Coffee Machine does not require paper coffee filters. The copper coffee basket is all you need! Add ground coffee directly to basket and brew.
No Shoes House: In order to help keep our house clean, we ask that you remove your shoes at the door when entering.
Outdoor Hose: Please use the outdoor hose to rinse off sand before entering the house. This helps keep our home clean and sand out of our shower/tub drains. Please also rinse off beach chairs/umbrella before returning them to the rack. Hose is located on the right side of the building (as you pull into the driveway) near the basement door.
Beach Chairs/Umbrella/Beach Tags: We provide you with 6 beach chairs, one beach umbrella, and 6 beach tags. The chairs/umbrella can be found underneath our private porch. The beach tags are located in the green box underneath the TV. Beach tags are needed to use CM beaches. Children under 12 are free. Please do not loose these tags. If a tag is lost you will be charged $50 per missing tag. Beach tags are needed Memorial Day through Labor Day. Also, as a courtesy to our next guests, please rinse off beach chairs before returning them to the racks.
Solarium/Sun Porch Door: Please keep the door (leading to the front porch/outside) closed as the solarium is air conditioned/heated. You may use it to access the front porch, but please do not leave the door open. Please make sure to lock the door when leaving the unit.
No Garbage Disposal: Our kitchen is not equipped with a garbage disposal, therefore please be mindful of food/waste going down the drain when washing dishes. Please throw food scraps in the trash. Trashcan is located in the cabinet of the half-wall counter with bar stools.
No smoking or vaping: The Columns by the Sea is a smoke free home/building. No smoking or vaping. Thank you
Noise Level, after hours: Please be respectful of our full-time neighbors and be sure to keep loud noise to a minimum after 10pm.
Smart TV: Our TV will allow you to sign-in to your streaming TV services for the amount of time you stay with us. Power on the TV and follow the prompts to sign in. Be sure to sign out before you leave.
Pets: If your fur-baby is traveling with you, we ask that you always have them on a leash when outside our unit. We know it's hard to keep pets off the furniture/beds therefore we ask that you use the blankets/towels to help protect our furniture/bedding. The pet-care kit is located in the closet next to the half-bathroom. Please use the blankets/towels. Thank you
Dirty Towels: we’ve provided a hampers in both bedrooms. Please place used towels in the harper. You do not need to stripe the beds. If you've used our pet kit, place these linens in the hampers as well.
Check Out: Check out is at 10:00 a.m. Be sure to close all windows and doors. Please remove all trash/food. Place dirty towels in hampers. Make sure the kitchen items (plates/pots/pans/etc) have been cleaned and put away. Our cleaners will arrive shortly after you’ve checked-out.
BBQ: The grill located outside (in the back parking lot) belongs an owner who lives in our building. It is not for our use. We do not have a grill. Portable grills are not permitted on our property. Thank you
