We’re so happy that you’ve chosen to stay in with us and we want to make this your Home away from Home! This guide will help answer some basic questions but always feel free to contact us should you have a question or need anything. Again, WELCOME!
Parking: You are permitted to park one vehicle in the parking spot marked 1B, which is located directly in front of the building, entrance on Madison Ave. You are also permitted to park on the street which is open to the public/free parking.
WiFi: WiFi is Lamplighter, password is Washington@1B
Trash: Trash cans are located outside the building, on the left side of the parking area (behind the white gate). We have provided trash bags for you underneath the sink. Use them as needed. If you would like to recycle, please place recyclables (loose, not in any plastic bags or bags) directly in the recycle trash can located outside the building.
Smart TV: The TV will allow you to sign-in to your streaming TV services using your user name and password. Power on the TV and follow the prompts to choose which services you’d like to stream. Please be sure to sign you out of all your streaming services before you check out.
Air Conditioner/Heat: The thermostat is located directly outside the bedroom. The turn it up/down, please your finger on the outside part of the thermostat. It is not a touch screen. Slide your finger up/down to change the temperature. Tap the outside to switch it between AC or Heat.
Candles: Candles are not permitted to be used in the house. We have provided battery operated candles instead.
No Shoes House: In order to help keep our house clean, we ask that you remove your shoes at the door when entering.
Noise Level, after hours: Please be respectful of our full-time neighbors and be sure to keep loud noise to a minimum after 10pm. Quiet time is 10:00PM - 7:00AM.
Private Deck/Balcony: Please see our deck rules posted in the master bedroom as it leads to the private deck. Same rules apply for the balcony. Please mindful while using the outdoor spaces for safety. Also please do not hang wet towels on the railings.
Queen Pull-Out Sofa Bed: Sheets, pillows and quilt for the pull out sofa bed can be found in the bedroom closet (pillows are in hall closet as you come up the stairs).
Beach Tags and Beach Chairs: Beach tags are needed for Cape May beaches. We provide you with 2 tags. They can be found in the white ceramic container located on top of the fireplace (bedroom). Please do not lose these tags. If the tags are misplaced, you will be charged $50 per tag. Two beach chairs can be found behind the building, locked up. The code is 1001. Please lock them back up after each use.
Bikes: We have provided 2 bicycles for your use. You can find these in the bike rack directly in front of your parking spot. They have HOMEBODY RENTALS sticker on them. We’ve also proved a lock: the code is 1001. Please be sure to return them to the bike rack after use and lock them up.
No smoking or vaping: Lamplighter is a smoke free home. No smoking or vaping. Thank you
Dirty Towels: we’ve provided a hamper in the bathroom closet. You may place used towels in the harper.
Windows: Please make sure to shut the windows before leaving in case of a rain storm.
Check Out: Check out is at 10:00 a.m. Please remove all trash. Place dirty linens in hampers. Make sure the kitchen items (plates/pots/pans/etc) have been cleaned and put away. Our cleaners will arrive shortly after you’ve checked-out.
